Our Board

Anindita Majumdar is the Founder, Managing Trustee, of Equidiversity Foundation. She is a gender activist with 25 years of experience, an Ashoka Fellow and an IVLP Alumni. She has worked under the appointment of the Danish funding agency India Group Funen (IGF) as the Programme Manager of a partnership project (on developing capacities of the Panchayat and voters for planning and implementation of 4 MDG goals) between IGF-LKP and Joygopalpur Gram Vikash Kendra (NGO in Sunderbans). Prior to working on the IGF project, she served as the Assistant Director of Swayam, a leading NGO in Kolkata working against violence on women and on gender issues. Qualifications: M.Phil in Women’s Studies, M.A. (Political Science), where she stood first class first. She was awarded National Scholarship during B.A. (Political Science) Course.

Ms. Chandana Baksi is presently working as a Mental Health Consultant. In this capacity Ms. Baksi works as a psychotherapist and a trainer. Gender and Mental Health is her area of special interest. She is a therapist and a trainer with Samikshani, a Kolkata based Mental Health Organization, for the last 20 years. She is also a Mental Health Consultant with Swayam, a Kolkata based women’s rights organization. She has been engaged in training of field level workers of NGOs and CBOs in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan; working with the management of these organizations to integrate mental health and gender equal perspective in their organizational processes and policies; training of trainers in mental health and gender; mentoring young mental health professionals and gender activists across the subcontinent. Qualification: Certified Psychotherapist and Counselor from Samikshani, Kolkata, India; Certified Professional in NGO Management from University of Illinois, Chicago, USA; Masters in Modern History from Presidency College, Kolkata, India.Your content goes here. Ms. Shyamali Acharjyee: A Ph.D. in Ecology, Dept. of Zoology from University of Calcutta, Shyamali broke the stereotype to pursue her dream in the creative world of media.  Shyamali has worked as the Editor of EKDIN Daily Newspaper, Health Supplement—Clinic. She has also worked as a Consultant Editor in ABAR JUGANTOR Daily Newspaper (Sunday Magazine AJ ROBBAR) for a number of years. Presently she is working as Bengali Casual Talk Show Presenter in AIR FM Rainbow and AIR FM Gold (studio experience – 20 years, started in 1998). Shyamali has also worked as the Assistant Project Coordinator, LOKA KALYAN PARISHAD (LKP), overseeing the implementation of a government project “CFT” Convergence of MGNREGS-NRLM

Dr. Nandini Ghosh: Nandini Ghosh is an academic-activist working on issues of gender, disability and other forms of marginalization. She is at present a faculty member at the Institute of Development Studies Kolkata.

Board of Advisors

Mr. Dilip Banerjee: Apart from being an Ashoka Fellow, Mr. Banerjee has been a Short Term Expert in GIZ IS, Chhattisgarh, for EC-SPP -CG Decentralisation and Strengthening Standing Committees at GP level with Govt. of Chhattisgarh (Pilot completed in Uttar Bastar Kanker) and has been a State Consultant (Social Mobilisation), State Public Health Cell (SPHC) of Panchayats & Rural Development Department, Government of West Bengal from creation of the cell. He has worked with IIMC, Joka (NGO orientation, Group activities), Jadavpur University (PG Diploma in Psychological Counseling jointly with Samikshani) for Community mental health and Group building, For other NGOs or INGOs in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhatishgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odhisa etc. as resource person.

Ms. Bulbul Baksi: Having studied History and Psychotherapy, Ms. Baksi has been trained as a partnership broker. She has been practicing as a psychotherapist at Samikshani, a mental health care organization in Kolkata, since last seventeen years. She is an Authorized Trainer of the Partnership Brokers Association and mentor of the Partnership Brokers Accreditation Scheme. She has wide experience of working in close partnership with Government Departments for policy and strategy development in areas of Public Private Partnership, Quality Management of Hospitals, Health Insurance, District and sub-district level health planning, Organization Development initiatives at District and sub-district health offices. She has worked at the grass root levels, managing NGO partnerships and mobilizing communities of women and children in development pursuits; gradually moving to working at strategic and policy levels. Facilitation, analysis, strategy development, policy analysis and partnership brokering are some of the main skills that Ms. Baksi has developed and nurtured over the years.

Mr. Sanjay Sen is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, specializing in digital and business transformation initiatives. He has led large-scale IT programs across industries, combining financial insight with strong technology and process expertise. In senior roles within consulting firms, he has managed cross-functional teams and overseen program governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery management. He has also contributed to major government transformation projects involving multiple departments and states, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive structured, technology-enabled change and deliver measurable business outcomes.
